Happy National Learn a Word Day! We're looking back to 1969 at our first UAH mascot: the Uhlan. An uhlan is a type of light cavalry soldier who specialized in fighting on horseback with lances. We love that the letters UAH are part of the word, but we're partial to our modern Chargers mascot. 💙

It's National Do Something Nice Day! Alumni Kassidy Barber '20 & her fiancee Brian New '21 showed the spirit of the day when they shared a kind note with Alumni Relations: "We wanted to share in case it brings joy to anyone at the university." It certainly did! Plus, not only is today Do Something Nice Day - it's also Kassidy & Brian's wedding day! 💙 🎉
