We are an independent Nonprofit 501(c)(3) foster and volunteer-based domestic rabbit rescue in North Alabama centered in the Huntsville - Madison area.

We specialize in bunny care education & rescuing domestic rabbits and finding quality indoor homes!

Here we are again! We are looking for a kind hearted foster who can help care for a baby pair or a single baby. If you’re already talking to us about fostering for a specific bunny, we are grateful for you, and yes these are new bunnies needing help, so we will need 1-2 new fosters! Brown bunny is one of a pair and black bunny is only a few months old. Please reach out if you are able to help with a nonsmoking indoor space safe from high prey drive pets.

Unfortunately, the person who rescued them was told by the county to release them…that’s a death sentence, and a painful one at that. Not only is is deadly, it’s very cruel. Domestic rabbits cannot survive on their own outside.

Bunnies love daily greens! Can you tell by Rembrandt’s expression?
How much do we recommend? Our rescue recommends 1 cup of daily greens per 2 lbs of bunny weight. Remember: iceberg (high water- diarrhea risk) and straight spinach (high calcium) are not recommended and potentially dangerous! Kale should be limited, and cabbage is not used by our rescue (for potential GI upset).

Ellis, formerly Parsley, is doing well after his neuter. We are so very grateful for the volunteers who made this possible and are seeing to the care of his bunny. 🐰

My name was Parsley. I’ll receive a new name soon. My family bought me at “Urban Queen” a few months ago on a whim. They promised me forever. Forever ended yesterday.

Yesterday, they left me behind at a shelter. They dumped me on a table, walked through the door, and didn’t look back. I wasn’t even worth a second thought. “Owner surrender” at a shelter that doesn’t handle rabbits. “No longer want”.

I don’t know where I am. I don’t know why they left. I am scared. I still have 10-12 years of life to enjoy if I am taken care of. Where did my family go?

I’m still a very young boy, but I’m no longer small enough and cute enough for them.

Now I need help. I need someone who can foster me or give me a forever home. Firstly, I need a name that I can keep—one that wasn’t given by someone who will leave me behind.

Bunny Basics was a lot of fun on Saturday! Bunana, Sydney, Wyatt, and Heidi met folks and got pets and cuddles!
Adopted bunnies Isaac, Harrison, and many others came by for nail trims! We really enjoyed seeing everyone!

Bunny Basics is tomorrow from 1-2:30 at Southpaw Animal Clinic of Madison! We'll have several of our foster bunnies there and we'll be teaching the bunny care overview class and answering questions! We'd love to talk to you about fostering, so if you are thinking it over and haven't contacted us already, please feel free to stop by!
Debby Bunny (shown here) still needs a foster, so if you're interested in a sweet and cuddly bunny, she sure could use some love!
Nelson (the lop rabbit from our previous post) has had quite a few volunteers and we are pleased to say that he has even found a forever home!

Thinking of fostering? We're seeking two fosters to help two bunnies! Here we have Debby (black, sleek, cuddly with a white button nose) and Nelson (sweet little speckled lop). We're a bit overwhelmed in general so to fast-track aid these bunnies specifically, here's what we want you to do!

Congratulations to Pippin and his new bunny mom! After being rescued as a baby bunny abandoned on the 4th of July weekend two years ago, Pippin was adopted yesterday and is getting comfortable in his new home which has a large space for him and lots of bunny toys! His bunny mom worked with us to make sure his space was save and the best possible! He is the center of attention and getting so many snuggles! When his new bunny mom met him at Bunny Basics, Pippin sat happily on her lap and started grooming her. It was immediate love for both of them!

Please don't be fooled. We've had some bad actors recently posting scam comments with links on our posts (including sympathy posts involving rabbits who passed--seriously, nothing is off limits to these people!).

We will soon have our iconic purple rescue shirts for sale, but when they're ready, we'll have an official post with official info that is actually backed up by our rescue. :)
