Today, we honor the life of Ms. Chioma Osonma, our beloved WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) National Coordinator in Nigeria, who passed away in late July in Aba after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Chioma was a light—steadfast, compassionate, and deeply committed to improving lives through clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education.
Her funeral and commendation service will take place on August 12 in Aba, followed by burial in her family compound in Ogberuru on Aug. 13.
Our ministry grieves this loss deeply. Chioma’s impact stretched far beyond her work—she uplifted her team, mentored young leaders, and served her community with humility and grace. We ask for your prayers for her family and for our Nigeria team during this difficult time.
To honor her legacy, we will be building a **memorial well** in a school in the Aba/SE zone—an enduring tribute to a woman who dedicated her life to bringing water, hope, and dignity to others.
May her memory continue to inspire us all, and may her soul rest in peace!
