In case you missed it: Last month we had the joy of hosting the Hood River Valley High School AP Art & Independent Study Art Show!

It was four days of incredible work by students.

The show landed right in the middle of preparations for The Big Sing, so we're sharing the photos now, because these students deserve to have their work in the spotlight, even a few weeks later!

Nurturing young artists in our community is part of why we do what we do, and these art teachers and students made it easy from set-up to take-down!

Reminder: Our offices are closed this week and reopen June 22 for Missoula Children's Theatre Summer Camp. See you then!

What a spectacular evening at Columbia Center for the Arts! We are so grateful to Oregon Ballet's OB2 Spring Tour for joining us on June 6th for two incredible back-to-back performances. The company brought a beautiful range of work to our stage — weaving together the elegance of traditional ballet with the energy and expressiveness of modern dance in a way that enthralled our audiences and left them truly moved by the spirit of dance.

It is always an honor to host such world-class athletes and artists in our community, and OB2 delivered exactly the kind of performance that reminds us of the expressive beauty of dance and the incredible strength, grace, and power of the human form.

Thank you to everyone who came out to experience the evening with us, and a heartfelt thank you to the dancers, directors, and crew of OB2 for sharing your artistry with Hood River.

We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Auditions are coming up fast! Join us at Columbia Center for the Arts with Missoula Children's Theatre on June 22nd for an unforgettable week of creativity, teamwork, and live performance!

In just five days, local youth will audition, rehearse, and perform their very own production of Wiz of the West — a foot-stompin', tale-spinnin' twist on a beloved classic. This is your child's chance to step into the spotlight and make memories that'll last a lifetime.

Register at ColumbiaArts.org! Registration is not required but is recommended.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

COST
——————————————
There is no cost to participate in the summer camp. However, families will need to purchase tickets to the final performance. Ticket sales support our youth programs and help bring more experiences like this to youth in our community.

A few of our favorite moments from The Big Sing!

What a night it was! Thank you to everyone who filled that room with so much joy, generosity, and harmony. These photos are just a small glimpse of what happened in there.

If you were there, we hope you left feeling as good as we did. And if you weren't, well, there's always next year!

Tag us in your photos. We want to see all of them!

Hood River, you showed up. And then some.

Thank you for helping us raise over $40,000 to support Columbia Center for the Arts and the arts in our community.

On Friday night, this community came together to sing big, give big, and make something we'll remember for a long time. We're still flying high on that energy and can't wait to pay it forward with more arts, education, and programming across the Gorge.

Thank you to every single person who bought a ticket, bid on an auction item, raised a paddle, or just showed up and sang their heart out. Thank you to our incredible volunteers whose hard work made the night run. And a huge thank you to Low Bar Chorale for inspiring us to sing, dance, and move together as a community.

The feedback has been so overwhelmingly positive that we're already thinking about next year. We can't wait to see you there.
