The Healthy Kids Running Series Registration Assistance program provides scholarships to families in need of financial assistance. Every season HKRS receives donations from runners, sponsors, and friends to support this program and help ensure that every child that wants to run, can run.

For the Spring 2023 Season
*203 runners received Registration Assistance, the most we’ve ever had in a single season
*25% of races had at least one request for assistance
*Most requests were for more than one child in the same household
*The median household income of requestors was $25k-$35k
The HKRS Registration Assistance program aims to serve families living at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.

We are thrilled to bring Healthy Kids Running Series to the Columbia River Gorge! Our goal is to offer a fun, unique and competitive running event for kids in our community. The running series is a great platform to keep kids active, teach personal goal setting and maintain a healthy lifestyle. We hope to ignite a spirit of positivity, self-confidence and inclusion as we celebrate each week’s accomplishments.
