"So when you need a little bit extra, you just turn this up to eleven." That sums up Megan's life: she lived at level 11 consistently, as a friend, as a Marine, as she sang Bon Jovi songs, as she competed in (and trained for) Ironman triathlons... She was the "11" in my life. Wednesdays are still "sprint" mornings for me, a tradition she started with her Maniacs about 18 years ago. Whenever I think I'm reeeeeally running hard, I can still see that she is out in front of me, orangish-red ponytail bobbing, a blur of color in her stylish workout gear, so I dig in a little deeper and push it up to 11. In memory of the 11th year of our earthly loss, live this year to level 11 in everything you do. Semper Fi, Marine.
