No need to feel helpless when you can help.

The fundraiser is linked in the comments below.

Give a little or a lot and we’ll get it to those hit by the flash floods in Nepal.

Fundraiser closes Sept 4.

🙏

Let’s come together and do some good for our friends in Nepal.

Whatever your version of prayer, please give some to the people of Rasuwa, Nepal.

Today we have one small school project in this area. Luckily, our primary work is far from the devastation.

However, we are closely linked to Rasuwa.

It is where ParticipAid was born, and we intend to return. 🙏

Women gather to read from “Indidgenous Plant Medicine of Nepal - Indrasarowar Rural Municipality”, our recent publication alongside our partner Sagun and the local government of IRM.

Men have long been the ones to carry plant medicine traditions in Nepal and other parts of the world. We wonder if that might be changing!

Comment MORE INFO, and we’ll connect you with MORE INFO!

Join us in Nepal for 14 unforgettable days of adventure, connection, and service. 🇳🇵

Trek through breathtaking Himalayan villages, visit sacred Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage sites, learn about indigenous plant medicine from local healers, and share meals with families who will welcome you into their homes.

Then step into ParticipAid’s traveling health camp, where together we’ll provide care to more than 1,000 patients in just five days.

You’ll witness how local partnership, prevention, and education are improving the health and well-being of nearly 14,000 people across these remote communities.

Whether you’re a healthcare professional, student, or simply have willing hands and a heart to serve, there’s a place for you.

Our team already includes naturopathic doctors, a nutritionist, and professionals from completely different fields - everyone has something valuable to contribute.

If Nepal has been calling your name, this is your invitation.

✨ Register by August 3 to reserve your spot before the first team meeting!

THANK YOU to those pictured and not pictured here!

Your monthly gifts fuel our team on the ground every day.

Because of you, we have provided diet, lifestyle, and plant medicine education to nearly 3000 families.

Because of you, we are emboldened to bring this model of community-based care to other places around Nepal and the world!

Dear Garden, this is only the beginning!

Not a member yet? The more the merrier!

It’s a pick-your-own-gift-level club starting at $5 a month.

$25 a month supports 5 families with diet, lifestyle, and plant medicine education in their homes, schools, and community!

Only $5 a month can help change a family’s health trajectory for generations.

HEALTH BENEFITS 👇

The people of Indrasarowar rural municipality in Nepal drink a tea of the leaves whenever they become ill:

Cough
Sore throat
Runny nose
Fever
Stomach issues

They also drink the tea to soothe the mind and help relieve insomnia.

These are also common uses of Holy Basil in Western herbalism.

Among its many properties, it is famously known as an “adaptogen”, meaning it can help the body regulate stress by bringing the stress hormones into a more balanced relationship.

This adaptability, an inherent intellighence, is unique to whole plant medicines like Holy Basil. They can upregulate or downregulate a pathway dependent on what your body needs.

This is for educational purposes only. Please consult your favorite ayurvedic or naturopathic physician or herbalist with any personal questions.
