Last week our team established four “model” home herbal gardens across three different villages. 

These will serve as sources of medicine that can be used in daily life to build health and prevent disease. 

This is a later iteration of the Home Herbal Garden concept in this village, so is more systematic - 3m x 3m plots with about a dozen different herbs were planted for neighbors to use as an example.

That’s our why!

We started our program with Ayurveda and Naturopathy because it was what we knew. When we leaned into the local indigenous knowledge, we unleashed the power of the community, and haven’t looked back! 

Our preventive health programs serve thousands of people beyond the reach of the healthcare system in Nepal. They have a blend of all three disciplines woven into them. 

We don’t want to imagine a world without indigenous knowledge. If you feel the same way, consider joining our monthly donor club, The Garden! Links in our bio ParticipAid

It is a pick-your-own gift level club that helps us immensely. 

For reference tho, $25 a month supports 5 families with diet, lifestyle, and plant medicine education in their homes, schools, and community!
