International Overdose Awareness Day is observed each year on August 31 to remember those we've lost, recognize the grief carried by families and communities, and renew our commitment to preventing overdose.
In recognition of this important day, Strength In Peers invites you to join us for a Community Overdose Awareness Event TODAY Wednesday, August 26, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at our Community Resource Center in Harrisonburg.
Whether you're looking to learn, support a loved one, or strengthen your community, join us for practical skills, free resources, and meaningful connections that can help save lives.
Throughout the event, we'll be offering:
💜 FREE Naloxone (Narcan®)
💜 REVIVE! Overdose Response Training
💜 Fentanyl and other drug checking test strips
💜 Harm reduction resources
💜 Snacks and refreshments
