🌞As temperatures climb and wildfire smoke threatens air quality, protecting farmworkers and all outdoor workers isn't optional—it's essential. 🌡️🌫️

Oregon OSHA is reminding employers that they must take steps to protect workers from extreme heat and wildfire smoke by providing water, shade, rest breaks, training, and emergency plans when conditions become hazardous. These protections save lives.

No one should have to risk their health—or their life—to earn a paycheck. AFOP supports strong workplace protections that ensure every worker has the resources they need to stay safe in extreme weather.

🏠 A safer, more comfortable, and energy-efficient home may be within reach!

OHDC’s Weatherization Program provides approved energy-saving improvements at no cost to qualifying households in Klamath and Lake Counties. The process begins with a phone interview, followed by a home energy audit to identify eligible improvements.

Households with gross income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level may qualify. Renters may also qualify with written permission from their landlord.

The Deputy Director serves as a senior organizational leader and strategic partner to the Executive Director, providing overall leadership, oversight, and direction for Oregon Human Development Corporation’s (OHDC) programmatic operations across Oregon. This role oversees program and district managers to ensure high-quality, culturally responsive service delivery across key initiatives, including Workforce Development, Housing Stabilization, Energy Services, and Health-Related Social Needs. The ideal candidate brings extensive leadership experience in nonprofit or human services, strong financial literacy, and a demonstrated commitment to serving farmworkers and low-income communities.
