🪶 Indigenous Peoples and nations are not figments of the past, but rather human beings who are living, struggling AND thriving, while overcoming vast sociopolitical and economic disparities daily.

🪶Indigenous Peoples are culture-keepers, water protectors, authors, scientists, designers and visionaries.

🪶On this Indigenous Peoples day, we’d like to celebrate Indigenous joy as resistance, and encourage folx to find and create opportunities to deepen your knowledge, relationships, and take action.

🪶These efforts can take several forms such as:
* Remain open to learning in the process of relationship building, even when that may cause personal discomfort.
* Build relationships with Indigenous groups or organizations in your community.
* Engage in ongoing learning about Indigenous history and the land we occupy
* Amplify the voices of Indigenous people leading grassroots change movements.
* Donate time and money to Indigenous-led organizations.

Instead, bring it to our Ballot Bash on Saturday, October 10 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm! We will be at WestCo Brewing at 905 Struthers Ave to share ballot information, play some election trivia, share some drinks, and exorcise our ballot anxieties.
This year's ballot is the longest in recent history, which gets confusing fast. This is the perfect way to learn about the measures you'll be voting on, and to make sure you and your friends get your ballots turned in early!
