HUGE shoutout for one of our amazing volunteers/donors who just blessed Senior Engagement with a generous donation from part of their RMD this year. We couldn't be more thankful for this amazing gift!

As many of you know, Senior Engagement is run 100% by volunteers and are primarily funded by the generosity from our awesome community and a couple of community fund raisers we do throughout the year. It really does take a lot to keep Senior Engagement going throughout the year and we couldn't do it without the support of this community.

Although the donor wishes to remain anonymous, I had to share the fantastic news of this donation! Our largest donors are generally also some of our most incredible volunteers and cheerleaders and we appreciate you all so much.

*************ANNOUNCEMENT**************

Senior Engagement will once again have a booth at BeaconFest on April 17th.

Additionally, on June we will be at Barnes & Noble from 9am to 7pm for our semi-annual fund raiser.

We'd love to see you all at both events!

We will be putting up polls in the next couple weeks for volunteer sign ups to man the booths! If you can spare an hour or two, we could sure use the extra hands!!!

The holiday season is approaching fast...

Once again, Senior Engagement is reaching out to our amazing community to help our teams share some joy as they provide some simple and basic gifts to the Senior Citizens and other at-risk adults living in facilities and/or group homes throughout the valley.

Most of us know how quickly costs can add up providing for modest gifts for a small family so you can imagine how quickly the costs add up when you are providing the most basic of gifts to 2000+/- people - this is why we need and we so appreciate your help!

If each person in our community picked up an item or two (or 10) from this list, it would go a long way in helping offset the cost that is often absorbed by our teams. The registry is more of a general guide. For the most part, we are OK with off brand lip balm, different pillow brands, socks of most any type/color/style, etc.

Senior Engagement is a 501(c)3 non-profit. There are no paid employees and 100% of all donations are returned to our community with our various outreaches throughout the year.

We have a number of facilities that are without a lead this year. A couple of them are new additions and some are facilities that the leads have had to step down due to various reasons.

If you are looking for an opportunity to volunteer in our community, we would love to have you consider leading a Senior Engagement team!

If you're not ready to lead a team by yourself, we have at least one team that is looking for a co-lead and a number of teams that would welcome your help!

If you would like more information, please reach out - Myself, or any one of our admins, moderators or Team Leads/members are happy to answer any questions we can.

Conversely, if you work at or have family/friends at a facility that we have not picked up with Senior Engagement and you would like them added to the list, we encourage you to reach out to us.

As our teams start gearing up for the holiday season🎄, you will likely start seeing a lot of posts📣 letting our very generous community know what is needed to help us spread love💖 to as many Senior Citizens (most of whom are living in facilities of one sort or another), as possible.

From asking parents and teachers of littles to have the kiddo's make some cards🧧, to asking some of our amazingly talented community member to make Dignity Bibs, Tinker Pads, Lap Blankets, and various crafts, this project knows no bounds!

Each team is mostly autonomous, however we share and collaborate, so several teams may be doing very similar projects, while others are doing something totally different. This means, whatever your interest and/or talent is, you can likely find something/somewhere to contribute within the Senior Engagement umbrella!

If you have an interest in specific team, please reach out to the team leader (they are pinned in the announcements at the top).
