80 dollars. A solar panel and controller. In a camp, by the river. A simple proof of concept for an expansion to a youth ministry. It was working. Then it was gone. We now understand that all gear must be solidified to make it difficult to remove. I truly hope you needed it more than the children I teach.

Stealing from your neighbors. Pilfering the land as others search to seek skills to expand. Shame on you. We are looking to expand knowledge for free to those lacking exposure. All you see is opportunity, a simple come up. Don't be surprised if dead fall traps and spiked pitfalls are incorporated in this curriculum to combat this attack on bushcraft skills. j/k. 13.6 volts. This is crucial as a normal battery sits at 12.7 to 12.8 in idle state. As you use it, it will drain down to 11.5 at which most inverters fail. The solar array tops it off above floating average and powers all the chargers to bring the power tool batteries to full state. It is all about circuits.

It works. But I still need 3 students to launch the next class. Having fun working outdoors, but want to get back in the classroom.

We teach circuits. We teach IT. It all comes down to connections. Hardwired and virtual.

This was a proof of concept. Using solar to recharge power tools in a remote location. Do you know a tinkerer / fixer. We want to get to know them and foster that passion.

We are starting classes this next weekend, know a kiddo who might fit. We want them in our class!
