🤝 Mission Shares: what are they, anyway? 🤝

Dr. Hutton joins us from our beautiful West 2nd Street entrance by the Baker Center offices to talk about something we don’t often discuss. As United Methodists, we’re part of something much bigger than one church.

Our Mission Shares connect Calvary to the wider United Methodist Church. They give us support and counsel when we need it, help start new churches, and raise up new pastors. In fact, Dr. Hutton’s own seminary education was supported in part by our Conference’s Ministerial Education Fund! 🎓

They also support the Board of Child Care and the United Methodist Committee on Relief, often first on the ground after disaster strikes. 🌎

When you give to Calvary, our light reaches far beyond Frederick. ✨

🕯️ Consecration Sunday is November 22.

What a way to wake up this morning! 🎉 Calvary Weekday School has been voted Best of the Best!

Congratulations to our amazing teachers, our families, our director Patty, and our administrator Olivia. Every day you fill this campus with curiosity, kindness, and a whole lot of joy. We are so proud of you, and so grateful to share this place with you.

Thank you to our wonderful John Mitchell John Mitchell for these moving photos from yesterday’s All Saints’ service.

You caught the candles, the faces, and the quiet moments of remembering, and gave us a way to hold onto a morning when heaven and earth felt very close.

This month's Love Offering at Calvary supports the Frederick Rescue Mission and Faith House. 💙

Both ministries walk alongside neighbors in Frederick every day, and right now their shelves need restocking. Check out the post below to see how you can help.

Thank you for loving our neighbors so well. 🙏

✨ Light for the City ✨

What does it mean to be a Light for the City? Dr. Hutton joins us from Memorial Park, right across the street, to share how our faith reaches beyond our walls: through our Weekday School, our monthly love offerings, beds for children, coats and hygiene kits, and meals for our neighbors.

We do these things because it’s where Jesus has told us to meet him. 💛

Over the next few weeks, Dr. Hutton will answer your questions about how your giving makes it all possible. Got a question? Drop it in the comments!

🕯️ Consecration Sunday is November 22.

Bagpipes and organ, together, to close our All Saints’ service. 🕯️

A huge thank you to Joche for this amazing collaboration. What a way to send us out remembering the saints who have loved us into who we are.
