The Delaplaine is located in historic downtown Frederick, Maryland, along the beautiful Carroll Creek Park Promenade. Established in 1986, The Delaplaine Arts Center has grown from a grassroots nonprofit organization to a cultural anchor visited by more than 80,000 people and offering more than 50 exhibitions in seven galleries, 250 classes and workshops, and dozens of public programs each year. R

eflecting the vision that "everyone deserves art," the Delaplaine's Community Outreach initiative partners the organization with local nonprofits and service organizations to provide customized arts programs to the underserved and at-risk in the community. The Gift Gallery showcases works by regional artists on consignment, and Gardiner Hall and the Event Deck provide spaces for programs, community gatherings, and private events.

Wow, what a PACKED First Saturday at The Delaplaine Arts Center! We had plenty to see and do here today including FIVE new exhibition opening today, as well as Creative Outlet and Helen Smith free workshops for kids. Thanks for everyone who came out and visited us today!

Attention Artists and Artisans ❄️
It is with great pleasure that we present the Winter Arts Emporium at the Delaplaine Arts Center! We are excited to announce that it is a two-day event for 2026. It takes place Saturday, December 5th, 10am - 5pm and Sunday December 6th, 11am - 4pm.
This is an annual holiday artists market/expo that is set-up in Gardiner Hall. (Items for sale do not have to be “holiday” themed.) The Winter Arts Emporium showcases a diverse array of artists and artisans in the region. Only vendors who create their wares, crafts, and art will be considered. (Please, no sales reps. for other products.) Products or art images created by AI will not be accepted, nor will licensed characters or sports team images on items.
Although we would love to include all vendors who are interested, applications will be submitted to a jury. Artisans will be chosen with the intention of presenting a variety of vendors at the event so that a range of items is represented. Space is limited.
