We’re incredibly proud of our very own Karis Nichols! 🎶

Tomorrow, Karis will be presenting alongside Ms. Grimm of Oakdale High School at the Maryland Music Educators Association Fall In-Service Conference right here in Frederick!

Their session, “The Belonging Blueprint: Building a Chorus Students and Families Choose Again,” focuses on something we believe is at the heart of music education: creating a place where every student feels they belong.

Karis’ passion for music, her students, and building a welcoming community shines through everything she does.

A little harmony, a little history, and a whole lot of fun. Our singers learned some classic barbershop tags from the Frederick Catoctones Chorus and got to experience just how satisfying 4-part harmony can be. Check out our collaborative concert Saturday 10/24, 3pm, at the Frederick Church of the Brethren.

And just like that we are moved in and settled! What a day! 😅

Today is bittersweet as we turn the page on a very special chapter for our chorus. ❤️🎶

After two incredible years at Federated Charities , we’re packing up and moving to our new home at the Y Ausherman Arts Center!

Before we go, we want to express just how grateful we are to Federated Charities. For the past two years, they’ve given us so much more than a place to call home. They’ve given us support, encouragement, friendship, and a space where our voices could come together.

What makes Federated Charities so special is the heart behind everything they do. The nonprofits that walk through those doors aren’t just tenants. They’re part of a community that genuinely cares about one another and the people they serve. We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of that community.

And speaking of incredible community support, we have to give a HUGE thank you to Bargain Movers! Moving an entire chorus is no small task, and their generosity, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond have made this transition so much easier. It’s businesses like Bargain Movers that remind us just how special our Frederick community really is.

To Federated Charities and Bargain Movers, thank you for showing up for us in such meaningful ways.

Here’s to wonderful memories, incredible people, and an exciting new chapter! ❤️🎶
