Literacy Council of Frederick County Tutors may also help their students prepare for examinations, such as a driver’s license exam or U.S. citizenship test.

The Literacy Council of Frederick County (LCFC) is a nonprofit, nonsectarian, educational organization of volunteers who are dedicated to helping fellow adult residents learn to read, write, and speak English. LCFC offers programs in Basic Literacy, English as a Second Language, Workplace English, Parent Literacy, and special services such as assistance with basic computer skills, simple math literacy, GED prep, and health literacy classes.
