𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻. 😭

Yep. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮. Because apparently the first two didn’t quite get the message across.

We have senior hounds who need places to land, and we have… well… you people. 5.6K of you, to be exact. 👀

And yet here I am, once again, standing on the virtual street corner with my cardboard sign:

𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦.
𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗔 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗡𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗥.
𝗪𝗘’𝗥𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚.

These old dogs don’t need much. A safe place. A soft bed. Food. Love. And maybe a little patience if their bladder, legs, hearing, eyesight, or brain says, “Nope, we’re not doing that today.” 😂

And before you worry about the expense: 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. You provide the home, the love, the belly rubs, and a comfy place for a senior hound to be a dog.

We can’t save the seniors sitting in shelters or help the ones whose families can no longer care for them without foster homes.

So yes… 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻.

Yes, we’re asking again. 🙄

We know we just begged for foster homes a month or so ago. Apparently, senior hounds did not get the memo and have continued needing homes.

So here we are… asking AGAIN.

Fostering is pretty simple: open your home, provide a couch, love an old hound, and let us handle the vet bills and support.

One foster home = one more senior we can say YES to.

Come on. You know you want an old, floppy-eared freeloading roommate. 🐶❤️

I don’t give the dogs toys very often because they either tear them into 47 pieces or drag them outside and abandon them in the yard.

But I decided to outsmart Trip, the Destroyer, and bought him an “indestructible” toy. It has knotted rope inside instead of stuffing, so there’s nothing for him to pull out and distribute throughout the house.

At first, Trip didn't seem very interested. He just stared at it like, “What the hell is this?”

But then he discovered its true purpose: POSSESSION.

Now he drags it from bed to bed, guarding it like it's the crown jewels. Heaven help any dog who gets too close. Trip immediately goes into Fight Mode.

So apparently, he doesn't want to play with the toy. He just wants to own it, guard it, and make sure nobody else has any fun with it.

Maybe that's what makes it indestructible. Trip hasn't figured out how to destroy it because he's too busy protecting it. 😂🐾
