THIS WAS COMMUNITY AT ITS BEST!! 🤩❤️

Thank you to everyone who attended the The City of Frederick’s first-ever Juneteenth Community Celebration and helped make it such a wonderful event.

A special thank you to the volunteers, performers, vendors, community organizations, staff, and partners whose hard work behind the scenes made this event possible. Events like this don’t happen on their own, and we’re grateful for every person who contributed their time, energy, and dedication.

Most of all, a huge love and appreciation to the community for showing up and making this celebration joyful and meaningful.

Here’s to honoring the past, celebrating the present, and continuing to build a stronger future together. 🤗✨

Join the AARCH Society for Ancestral Light, an evening dedicated to heritage, resilience, and remembrance. Through music, a libations ritual, and a candle lighting ceremony, we'll honor the generations whose strength, wisdom, and stories continue to guide us today.

As each name is spoken, a light will be carried forward.

For a $5 donation, you can have the name of an ancestor or loved one remembered during the ceremony and participate in the candle lighting tribute in their honor.

SOUL Street is proud to be part of the The City of Frederick's first-ever Juneteenth Community Celebration! Catch us in the vendor market area alongside Business in Frederick, the Frederick County Office of Economic Development, and the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce.

What started as a vision to create more spaces for culture, connection, and opportunity continues with a day dedicated to honoring freedom, celebrating Black history, and bringing the community together.

Expect local vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, family activities, and plenty of reasons to stay a little longer than planned.

We'll be there. We hope you will be too.

If your Juneteenth plans don't include good music, good food, and good people, we might have a suggestion. 👀🎶

One City, One Sound is putting together a night that moves from jazz to gospel, soul to hip hop, blues to rock, all on one stage at Sky Stage.

Add in local vendors, community, storytelling, and a crowd that's actually there for the experience, and you've got the kind of night people talk about long after it's over.

The dates are getting closer. The plans are taking shape. And some of the moments we look forward to all year are almost here.

From the Juneteenth Community Celebration to the Black Frederick Festival, the Asbury Block Party, and more, this summer is filled with opportunities to celebrate culture, support local businesses, reconnect with community, and create memories that last far beyond the season.
