We are people with & without disabilities sharing life together in a community of faith. We host inclusive social events open to people of all ages.

L'Arche Frederick is a nonprofit in Frederick, Maryland working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our forthcoming community home - the first of several - will welcome adults with and without IDD to live together as peers and friends. L'Arche Frederick is part of an international federation of 156 communities in 38 countries, serving over 10,000 members. Meaningful relationships, individualized supports, and a culture of belonging are at the core of what makes L'Arche one of the most unique organizations in the country.

📣 DATE CHANGE: Let It Shine Extravaganza! 🌟

A little change of plans! Due to unexpected HVAC issues at our venue, we’re rescheduling our Let It Shine Extravaganza to November 8!

We’re still looking forward to a wonderful celebration of talent, laughter, and community in support of L’Arche Frederick. ❤️ Thankfully, most of our performers can make the new date so you'll get to cheer them on next month - and that's the most important reason why we gather!

Every year, performers with & without disabilities share their gifts & talents on stage. It’s a family-friendly afternoon of friendship, belonging, and, of course, awesome entertainment!

⛵️ House Vacation ‘26 is in the books! Life was quiet on Lawnview Drive as L’Arche housemates headed up to Deep Creek Lake for a week of relaxation, sailing, go-karts, and s’mores. While some preferred hiking to tubing, everyone agreed the time together was the real highlight.

Everyone came away with great memories - and a sincere desire to install a hot tub in the backyard at L’Arche 😂
