Building a future starts with seeing what’s possible! 🛠️

The Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida team joined our JA students at Build My Future Lee County at JetBlue Park, helping them navigate the event and introducing them to our partners in construction and the skilled trades.

Students explored career options through hands-on activities and conversations with local professionals. A highlight for our team was running into JA graduates representing their current employers! Seeing former students building their careers made the day even more meaningful.

The Junior Achievement team was pleased to attend FGCU’s President’s Advisors Circle on Workforce and Economic Development today for an engaging conversation about how FGCU and businesses are using AI.

As one JA teacher shared... "JA bridges the gap between 'learning' and 'doing.' It provides my students with a 'why' for their daily lessons, increasing their engagement. It's the most impactful 'aha!' moment of the school year." Helping students understand the relevance of what they're learning is key to increasing both engagement and achievement!

More opportunities for students to build a future in the skilled trades! 🛠️

Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida has received a $55,000 grant from the Richard M Schulze Family Foundation to support our JA Pre-Apprenticeship Program.

This funding will help 40 Lee County high school seniors gain hands-on training, earn industry credentials, and connect with local employers as they prepare for life after graduation.
