We’re so excited to be at the Mother's day event at Founders Square in Babcock Ranch today! 💙

Miss Punta Gorda Teen, Adriana, has chosen to support NAMI Southwest Florida by hosting a bake sale & basket raffle to help raise funds and awareness for mental health in our community. We are so grateful for her passion, advocacy, and dedication to making a difference!

NAMI Do It Your Way allows community members to create their own unique fundraiser to support NAMI SWFL and mental health awareness — whether it’s a bake sale, fitness event, golf tournament, restaurant night, birthday fundraiser, and more. The possibilities are endless, and we are so excited to get this program going!

If you’re in the area, stop by today and show your support! If you’d like to donate to her fundraiser, visit: https://doityourway.nami.org/campaign/Shine-through-the-storm

Grateful for the opportunity to attend and engage with the Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol (ASAP) training here in Southwest Florida.

The ASAP training provides first responders and mental health professionals with a structured, evidence-based method for managing acute stress after traumatic incidents. It is a strong, peer-led intervention tailored for first responders, frontline workers, chaplains, and clinicians—those who regularly experience stress and trauma in their duties. At NAMI Southwest Florida, we have been using ASAP to support our first responders, peers, and families, and our experience confirms that this approach is effective.

A special thank you to Nicole Navega, PhD, LCSW-QS, for bringing this important training to our region, and to the Vermont Center for Responder Wellness & ASAP Training Institute trainers from Vermont for sharing their expertise and dedication to peer-led support.

We especially appreciate working with Fort Myers Police Department officers who understand the importance of peer support and its role in wellness and resilience. We look forward to continuing this partnership with law enforcement and community leaders throughout Southwest Florida.
