Keep Lee County Beautiful has served as a public/private partnership since 1989 and is a 501c3, not for profit environmental education organization comprised of volunteer community leaders who donate their time talent and resources to promote litter abatement, recycling , beautification, and proper cost effective solid waste management practices to provide a pathway to a cleaner environment in the

community at large. We have, since 1989, proudly undertaken a mission that has evolved with changing times. Today, we encompass litter prevention, beautification and community improvement as well as waste stream reductions through diverse programs, volunteers, education initiatives, innovative tools and creative solutions. However, the ideal of keeping Lee County beautiful is something much more, it is a personal commitment to choices and actions that preserve natural beauty, protect the environment, prevent blight, improve public lands and make our community a better, safer and cleaner place to live.

Clean communities start with people who are willing to pitch in.

The Annual International Coastal Cleanup is happening Saturday, Sept. 19, and volunteers across Lee County will come together with Keep Lee County Beautiful to help keep our beaches, waterways and community clean.

Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or looking for a meaningful way to spend a Saturday morning, there’s a place for you. Grab your friends, family or coworkers and join the effort!

Love this reminder from Keep Sugar Land Beautiful! 👏 Litter doesn’t have to be big to have a big impact. The tiny pieces we often overlook can easily make their way into storm drains and eventually our waterways.
