CASTING CALL - The world premiere of Bill Taylor's adaptation of Richard Brinsley Sheridan's "The Rivals" is seeking a few strong comedic actors!

SIR LUCIUS O’TRIGGER
Male, approximately 30–60. Irish. Charming, confident, romantic, and always ready for a duel. Sir Lucius sees himself as a man of passion and honor and takes both love and fighting very seriously, which is part of what makes him so funny. Strong comic timing and comfort with heightened language are a plus.

BOB ACRES
Male, approximately 30–60. A good-natured country gentleman who desperately wants to appear more fashionable, sophisticated and courageous than he really is. Acres is enthusiastic, likable and wonderfully self-important, particularly when trying to impress others. Beneath all the bravado is a man who would much rather avoid an actual fight. A terrific comic role with plenty of opportunity for a strong character actor.
