Special Equestrians, Inc. enjoyed our Saturday, with the SE community as we came together for our first event of the program year, Reading Rodeo: Fall Roundup!

Reading Rodeo, a literacy program, which originally began as part of our Pony Pals Outreach program distributes copies of Guinness the Rescue Pony to anyone who reads or listens to three books about horses. 🐴🙌

Thanks to a generous donation from Linda and Pete Biscardi, we were able to fund a second printing of our published book, making more copies available to inspire young readers and horse lovers alike. We are incredibly grateful for their support! 💝

Our team is also busy planning exciting opportunities at Special Equestrians for our participants and the greater community to develop a love of reading through meaningful interactions with our herd of therapeutic riding horses.

Please support our mission. Donations will help fund equine-assisted learning programs, enhance our library space, support the Wishing Well Sensory Garden, and ensure we can continue planning future Reading Rodeo events.

We wish this incredible team a year filled with growth, friendship, goal achievement, confidence, and the courage to dream bigger than they ever imagined.

Horses have a remarkable way of carrying us along an achievement journey. Through the challenges they present, their quiet support, the deep connection between horse and rider, and the joy of reaching goals together, they teach us to believe in ourselves and discover possibilities we never knew existed.

Our Annual Meeting will take place Saturday, October 17th at 11:00 AM in the SE riding arena. Will can’t wait to announce the Ambassador of the Year and recognize our Riders of the Year, Volunteers of the Year, and so much more! 🎉

Making Miracles Happen! 💙🐴

Special Equestrians, Inc. invites you to join us! Every year, we come together for the Annual Meeting at the Special Equestrians Arena. It is a joyful event where we thank our volunteers for all they do for us. We honor volunteers as Volunteers of the Year. Volunteers who have reached their five year volunteer anniversary receive a special name tag. Our Friends of the Year are also recognized. Each of our instructors chooses one of their students as their Participant of the Year and our Horse Ambassador of the Year decided by our SE community will also be announced. The honor of Horse Ambassador of the Year is given to an SE horse who has been an outstanding example of what a therapy horse should be. The chosen horse will be featured on the front of our Ride-A-Thon shirt for 2027. The horses on the ballot were nominated by our Stable Committee.
