Carrying on the legacy of Julian Keen by helping future first responders reach their career goals.

The SWFL Heroes Foundation, Inc is a non-profit organization that exists to provide support to our local heroes and their families. Our local nurses, EMTs, law enforcement officers, teachers, firefighters, and military personnel are on the front lines for us every day. We are proud to give back to our communities in ways that will affect their lives for generations to come. At SW Florida Heroes Foundation, we are honored to be an avenue of support to help our local heroes and their families. Since our inception in 2015, it has been our mission to provide the type of resources that would truly change lives. In keeping with our mission, we place an emphasis on educational scholarships and emergency financial assistance. We also participate in community building fundraisers, such as our Operation Christmas Bike project that provides new bikes to hundreds of area children during the holidays. By partnering with SW Florida Heroes Foundation, you become an integral part of this change. Whether you can volunteer your time to a community event or commit to a monthly donation, we are grateful for your help.

🇺🇸 National First Responders Day 🇺🇸

Today, we honor those who answer the call 🚒🚑🚓

Southwest Florida Heroes Foundation proudly recognizes the firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and rescue personnel who dedicate their lives to protecting our communities.

They run toward emergencies, make split-second decisions, work long hours, and face situations most of us will never experience, all in service to others.

At Southwest Florida Heroes Foundation, supporting our first responders is more than a mission. It's our commitment to the men and women who serve, the families who stand behind them, and the next generation preparing to answer that same call.

To every first responder across Southwest Florida:

Thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and your unwavering dedication to the communities we call home. ❤️💙

Today, and every day, we are proud to stand behind you.
Happy National First Responders Day!

🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 - SEPTEMBER 11, 2026 🇺🇸

We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed America and the world.

That morning, 2,977 innocent people lost their lives. Behind every number was a person—a mother, father, son, daughter, husband, wife, friend, coworker, firefighter, law enforcement officer, emergency medical professional, service member or passenger whose loved ones never saw them come home.

Today, the SWFL Heroes Foundation remembers those lost at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and aboard Flight 93.

We honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger to help others, many making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. We also remember the survivors, the families left behind and the rescue and recovery workers who continued to suffer from the effects of that day for years afterward.

Twenty-five years have passed, but their lives, courage and sacrifice have not been forgotten.

May we continue to honor them through remembrance, service and gratitude for those who answer the call to protect others.

🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

NATIONAL POLICE WEEK 2026 🇺🇸

This week, we pause to honor the men and women behind the badge who serve with courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to our communities.

We also remember the officers who gave their lives in the line of duty and reflect on the lasting impact they leave behind — not only within law enforcement, but in the hearts of the families, friends, and communities who carry their memory forward.

We especially honor Officer Julian Keen, whose legacy continues to inspire service, strength, and commitment throughout Southwest Florida and beyond.

To all officers currently serving, thank you for your commitment to protecting our communities each day.
