Grants may be awarded in dollars, but their true value is measured in impact...

At ANA's Friends, that impact looks like emergency clothing for a child who enters foster care with only the clothes they’re wearing. It’s siblings placed in separate foster homes getting a day to laugh, play, and simply be together. It’s a caregiver opening their home to a child in need and knowing support is available when they need it most.

As a proud Partner Agency of the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades, we’ve seen firsthand how community generosity changes lives. The generous grant funding we receive from the United Way helps ensure A.N.A.’s Friends can continue saying “yes” when children need us most. That support is only possible because our community continues to invest in United Way’s annual campaign.

Today, the United Way is working to close a critical funding gap. Funding gaps aren’t just numbers on a spreadsheet...they impact real children, real families, and the nonprofits working every day to meet critical needs across our community.

Last week, A.N.A.’s Friends was honored to stand alongside the National Child Protection Task Force, law enforcement agencies, child advocates, service providers, and community partners during a multi-agency missing child recovery operation across Southwest Florida.

Our role was simple: to help create moments of care in the middle of crisis. For the children who were brought to safety, and for the professionals working long hours to protect them, we wanted each person to feel supported, seen, and reminded that they were not alone.

Twenty-one missing and endangered children are safer today because of the tireless work of so many dedicated people and agencies. We are grateful to have been part of this effort and will continue showing up wherever vulnerable children need comfort, dignity, and hope.

Every child deserves to be safe. Every child deserves to be seen. ❤️•

Today is National Foster Parent Day, and we are grateful for the foster parents and caregivers who show up for children in some of life’s hardest moments.

Foster care is not simple. It asks a lot from the adults who say yes, often with very little notice and very little certainty. It takes patience, flexibility, advocacy, and a steady heart.

At A.N.A.’s Friends, we see the difference caregivers make when children have someone safe in their corner. We are honored to support them with the resources, essentials, and encouragement that help children feel cared for and help placements feel a little less overwhelming.

To every foster parent, relative caregiver, and safe adult walking alongside a child in foster care, thank you today and always for all you do. 💜
