Before partnering with Habitat, Matthew was paying rent while living with his parents. Owning a home had always been a dream of his, but despite working full-time, homeownership was still out of reach. It wasn't until Matthew began partnering with Habitat that he started to see that dream take shape.

"Having a Habitat home will allow me to live on my own, run a household, and potentially raise a family down the road," Matthew said when he first came to Habitat.

Now, thanks to the generosity of the Galloway Family of Dealerships (Sam Galloway Ford & Coconut Point Ford), Matthew reached his goal of affordable homeownership. Congratulations, Matthew!🏡💙

This year marks Habitat for Humanity's 50th anniversary, making this year's Atlanta Affiliate Conference especially meaningful.🏘️

Our leadership team traveled to Georgia, the birthplace of Habitat, alongside more than 3,000 attendees from affiliates around the world. Together, we honored the legacy that brought us here, celebrated the lives changed through affordable homeownership, and looked ahead to the future of our mission.

As we continue our work in Lee and Hendry Counties, we're inspired by one powerful reminder from the conference: when we open doors, we create opportunities for families and communities to thrive.

Before partnering with Habitat, Siana shared a single bedroom with her daughter while living in an overcrowded home. She dreamed of giving her daughter the space, privacy, and stability she needed to grow and thrive.

Thanks to the generosity of Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, that dream became a reality as she celebrated her home dedication alongside friends, family, Habitat staff and supporters. Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre CEO and Habitat Board Member, Will Prather, presented Siana with the symbolic keys to her home. "This is not a gift," Will said. "You have worked hard and tirelessly for this. I imagine that at 25 years old, this is a small, early chapter in what's going to be a beautiful life for you and your daughter and your family."
