On Monday, CCA Florida donated approximately 3 additional tons of recycled oyster shell to the Brevard Zoo to support the ongoing "Restore Our Shores" program. The recycled shell will be used for upcoming oyster restoration projects throughout the Indian River Lagoon to help rebuild vital habitat and improve water quality.

CCA Florida is honored to have been selected as the nonprofit organization that RSS Racing and its partners will support and spotlight during this exciting weekend. As part of this partnership, CCA Florida will be proudly represented on Kyle Sieg’s No. 28 car during the Wawa 250.

Race weekend at Daytona offers two action-packed days of high-speed competition, incredible energy, and lasting memories for racing fans of all ages. We invite CCA Florida members, supporters, partners, families, and friends to join us at the track and cheer for Kyle Sieg and the No. 28 team as they compete at one of the most iconic venues in motorsports.

Join the CCA Florida Fort Myers Chapter for a day of hands-on conservation as we build Vertical Oyster Gardens (VOGs) that will be installed throughout Southwest Florida to improve water quality and create valuable marine habitat.

On Saturday, August 15, we will be gathering at Southern Fresh Farms for a Vertical Oyster Garden construction workshop. This is a great opportunity to get involved with one of CCA Florida's signature conservation initiatives and make a direct impact on our local waterways.

Vertical Oyster Gardens provide hard substrate for oysters to attach and grow, creating living habitat beneath docks and seawalls where natural oyster reefs are limited. As oysters mature, they filter the surrounding water, removing excess nutrients and improving water clarity while providing habitat for juvenile fish, crabs, shrimp, and countless other marine species. Every garden we build helps strengthen the health of our estuaries and supports the future of Florida's fisheries.

No experience is necessary. Whether you've volunteered with CCA before or this is your first conservation event, everyone is welcome. Our conservation staff will provide all the materials and instruction needed.
Gloves, safety glasses, and water will be provided. Since we will be working with materials that may get dirty, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.
Lunch will be provided for all volunteers as a thank you for your support.
