Monday was an unlimited opportunity to make our children smile on their first day of school and those smiles were absolutely priceless! The children’s eyes lit up as they walked through the doors, and their excitement reminded us why showing up for our children matters so much.
We appreciate the opportunity to support the students, teachers, and staff of Sunnyside Elementary School and Sherwood Park Elementary School. Principal Marcus Stewart was incredibly proud and delighted to see our cheerful faces ready to welcome everyone back for another amazing school year! Principal Anita McLaughlin was equally ecstatic and grateful that we braved the weather to be there to welcome the children back to school.
Lewis Chapel Greeters Ministry assisted the Fayetteville Alumnae Chapter by blessing Sunnyside Elementary with 11 bags filled with school supplies and teacher supplies. What a beautiful demonstration of love and service! ❤️
A special thank-you to Lewis Chapel Greeters:

Other community members helping welcome students back to school were Pastor Culbreth of First Baptist Church, Judge Toni King, Judge Cheri Siler Mack, members of the Fayetteville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and the Tau Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Students, teachers, and staff are ready to start the school year focused, encouraged, supported, and surrounded by love. This is what a community looks like. This is what it means to show up for our children. It takes a village, and today the village showed up!
