🕶️🎶 Teacher Appreciation Week took us ALL the way back! 🎶🕶️

Our Head Start team showed up and showed out for our 90s-themed Teacher Appreciation Cookout! From bright colors and bucket hats to old-school vibes and big laughs, it was a day full of fun, fellowship, and celebration for the amazing educators who make a difference every single day. 💜💚💛

We appreciate the passion, dedication, and love our teachers pour into children and families throughout the year. Thank you for everything you do — y’all understood the assignment! 📼✌🏽🎤

🎓✨ Celebrating Our NC Pre-K Graduates! ✨🎓

Today we celebrate the bright minds, big smiles, and incredible growth of our NC Pre-K students! This milestone marks the end of one amazing chapter and the beginning of an exciting new journey into kindergarten. 🌟📚

We are so proud of all they have learned, the friendships they’ve built, and the confidence they’ve gained along the way. Thank you to our dedicated teachers, supportive families, and staff who helped make this year so special.

LEARNING & LEADERSHIP — Our Action Pathways team leaders had a great time during the 2026 North Carolina Community Action Association Annual Conference in Wilmington this week!

Our CEO Lonnie Ballard, a member of the NCCAA Board of Directors, was joined by our Director of Administration, Nicki Maynor-Cromartie, CSBG / Weatherization manager Takisha Adams and Administrative Assistant, Eduardo Gomez.

Thank you, NCCAA for organizing another wonderful conference. We learned a lot and look forward to next year!

The 2026 Annual NCCAA Conference is underway and our team is having a great time!

Yesterday our Director of Administration Nicki Maynor-Cromartie and our CSBG / Weatherization Manager Takisha Adams participated in the Leadership Summit faciliated by Dream Builders Communication, Inc. and our CEO Lonnie Ballard is pictured with NCCAA Board Member Patricia Beier and NCCAA Board Chair Dr. Landon Mason during the Welcome Reception!

We're excited for the rest of the conference as we continue to learn and grow in Community Action.
