Partnership for Children of Cumberland County

Partnership for Children of Cumberland County Since 1993, we have provided programs and support that empowers families. We know that in order to achieve this vision, we must build strong families.

We all want to live in an economically prosperous community where families are successful and children thrive. Since 1993, we have provided support for families with children, birth to 5-years-old, and engaged community partners in an effort to achieve lasting positive outcomes for all children, beginning at birth.

🏀✨ What a night at the United Way Classic! ✨🏀

June 12 at the Crown Coliseum, the energy was electric as Team Fort Bragg took on Team Fayetteville—bringing our community together for a powerful night of connection, competition, and purpose.

👏 While Team Fort Bragg came out victorious, it was truly a win-win for all our hometown heroes. From the players on the court to the supporters in the stands, the spirit of teamwork and community shone bright.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, cheered loud, and supported this incredible event. When we come together like this, we all win.

Family Connects Certification Celebration - Part Two

The shared words reminded us that this work is more than a program — it’s a promise. A promise that every family deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered. A promise that connection is not a luxury but a foundation. A promise that when we invest in families, we invest in the future.

Their words carried a simple but powerful truth: small acts of care ripple outward in ways we may never fully see.

The celebration ended with a toast — sparkling cider raised high — honoring the dedication, compassion, and teamwork that made this milestone possible. It wasn’t just a toast to certification; it was a toast to impact, to partnership, and to the families whose lives are enriched by this work.

Here’s to continuing the mission, one home visit, one conversation, one connection at a time.

This certification represents more than a milestone—it reflects a shared commitment to strengthening families, supporting parents, and giving every child the healthiest start in life.

👏 Thank you to everyone who played a role in making Family Connects a success in our community. Your passion and partnership are making a lasting impact for generations to come.

With temperatures rising, Cumberland County has opened cooling centers to help residents stay safe, hydrated, and out of the extreme heat. If you or someone you know needs a place to cool down, you’re encouraged to stop by during operating hours.

These locations offer air‑conditioned space, seating, and water for anyone needing relief from the heat — no ID required.

Residents without access to air conditioning are encouraged to visit a cooling center during normal business hours to stay cool and safe. Remember to drink plenty of water, limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours and check on older adults, young children, neighbors and pets.
