Big thank you to the Soil and Water Commission for our brand new greenhouse table! Our 7th and 8th grade students did a great job assembling it this morning, and it’s already being put to good use with the plants we are freshly repotting. We are so grateful for the continued support from our community as this program grows! 🌱

P.S. If you have any plastic pots you’re planning to throw away, we will gladly take them off your hands! ♻️

Blackville, SC), where we will celebrate the accomplishments, hard work, and dedication of our FFA members over the past year.

Please note that each student that is being recognized is allowed to bring two guests free, additional guests will need to plan to bring $10.00 to go towards the cost of the banquet meal due to the increase of food and catering prices.

Today we had the opportunity to return to the State House for Plant Presentation Day. More than 500 plants grown by FFA members from across South Carolina were donated to the State House, not only beautifying the grounds but showing the hard work, dedication, and impact of agricultural education across our state.

Barnwell County was well represented with a total of 28 student members attending in combination with our chapter and our sister chapter from the Barnwell County Career Center. It is so meaningful to have these experiences alongside our sister chapter, strengthening the connection between our schools and creating opportunities for our younger members to learn and grow together as they represent Barnwell and FFA.

Students also had the opportunity to hear from South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers and Senator Greg Hembree, who spoke about the importance of agriculture and FFA in our state and the opportunities it creates for the future.

We are proud of our students and thankful for experiences that allow them to grow, serve, and represent Barnwell County and FFA in such a meaningful way.

Camo Day for the Fight Against Bullying 💚🤎

November and December FFA meetings were full of learning about Turkey production, Bingo, learning about Christmas Tree production/varieties, Decorating cookies, and coming together as FFA members! We had 24 members and one guest attend our November meeting and 23 attend our December meeting this week!

Classes in November also learned all about Welding and even got to lay their own welds down with cheese and crackers!
