The Guide to the Canadian Organic Standards 2026 is published!

To round out the revision of the Organic Standards, the Organic Federation of Canada (OFC) https://organicfederation.ca/ # and Canadian Organic Growers (COG) https://cog.ca/ have collaborated to update the Guide to the Canadian Organic Standards https://cog.ca/guide-to-cos/ .

The OFC and COG announce that the Guide to the Canadian Organic Standards 2026 is now published and available for use.

This online publication is designed to help producers, processors and other stakeholders to understand the 2026 Canadian Organic Standards.

European Commission updates the list of recognized Organic Control Bodies

The European Commission has published Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1398, which introduces amendments to the list of recognized Control Bodies for exporting organic products to the European Union.

The Regulation updates the list through:
✅ Recognition of new Control Bodies;
✅ Extensions to the scope of recognition of existing Control Bodies;
✅ Related amendments to existing entries in the list of recognized organizations.

🟥 Red card? Serious or repeated issues leading to withdrawal. Harsh, but the game demands integrity.

Egycert Ltd. of Egypt has voluntarily withdrawn from its application for accreditation under the Canada Organic Regime (COR) accreditation program as of June 5, 2026.

Any operations, certification bodies and authorities that relied on this application for accreditation are asked to take note.
