Trellis exists because no single organization can do this alone.
For years we have been building the collaborations — between churches, nonprofits, schools, and neighbors — that pursue food access, housing stability, and criminal justice together right here in Los Angeles. Quietly. Faithfully. On purpose.
This season we are asking our community to show up in a new way. We have three active needs and we want to share each one with you directly.
🚚 $25,000 — Food rescue truck

In partnership with Some1Lovesyou — a Los Angeles church community dedicated to reminding every person they are seen, valued and loved — we are raising funds for a food rescue truck. It picks up food that would otherwise go to waste and gets it directly to families who need it most. Their GoFundMe is live now.
🧴 $10,000 — Care kits

Dignity packages for our unhoused folks, migrants navigating impossible circumstances, and folks returning home from incarceration. A care kit says: you matter. You are not forgotten.
🤝 $10,000 — Keep us going

Behind every food rescue run, every care kit, and every family connected to resources — there is coordination making it possible. Investing in operations is investing in everything else on this list.

to care for and work with our unhoused and migrant brothers and sisters
