Our Therapeutic Riding Lessons run throughout the week and work with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. We are already planning for our Winter Session starting in January 2027. What is EmpowerED Youth?

EmpowerED Youth is a multi-week program that partners with local schools to provide students with an alternative learning experience through equine-assisted therapeutic activities.

Each week, students visit Stockhands to work alongside their assigned equine partner in a customized program tailored to their school’s needs. From grooming and leading horses to learning about equine health and horsemanship, students develop valuable life skills while building trust, confidence, empathy, and communication.

At Stockhands, learning goes beyond the classroom. Through the unique partnership between students and horses, we create opportunities for personal growth, meaningful connections, and lessons that last a lifetime.

Show your support of the life changing work at Stockhands by purchasing a family or corporate banner that will be displayed in our arena for 12 months from placement. Stockhands provides equine assisted therapeutic services to children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities as well as Veterans, First Responders and those struggling with mental health and recovery. Proceeds from banner sales go to support our 34 Horses and the work they do in our programs serving hundreds of individuals.

Let's give a big official Stockhands Welcome to our very own Macy Linscott! Ever wonder who gets to the barn before the roosters crow and before the sun makes its appearance to get our horses in and ready for the day? Our Barn Assistant Macy!
Macy is a 2026 graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a degree in Animal Sciences with a specialization in Animal Biosciences. During her time at Ohio State, Macy was a member of the university’s Poultry Judging Team and gained hands-on experience in equine care and facility management. Before college, she was actively involved in FFA and 4-H, holding several leadership offices within both organizations. Macy began riding horses at age five and competed on the hunter/jumper circuit, receiving OHJA Division Champion in 2013 and 2017. Macy hopes to carry her lifelong passion for animals into a future career that allows her to continue working directly with them and supporting their health and well-being. When she is not working or spending time at the barn, Macy enjoys playing golf and snowboarding.
