Community partnerships make a difference!

We are incredibly grateful to Bella's Backpacks for partnering with the Children's Advocacy and Protection Center to bring comfort and hope to children during difficult times.

Founded by Isabella DiFiore, Bella's Backpacks provides backpacks filled with care and support to children receiving services through Child Advocacy Centers across North Carolina. We are excited to share that Bella's Backpacks will be making monthly donations to CAPC, allowing us to provide backpacks to children who come to our center for forensic interviews.

We are excited to have LaCosta join us as our new Medical Assistant, where she will play an important role in supporting our forensic child medical exams.

We wanted to share this excellent oppurtunity in our community.
Meal pickup times are:
Mondays & Fridays
3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Families will receive meal kits that include breakfast and lunch items for children. Meals include a variety of kid-friendly options such as sandwiches, microwavable entrées, fresh fruits and vegetables, snacks, and milk.

No income requirements. Just free food for kids.

April is almost over - and we want to thank you.
To every community member who showed up for children this month: thank you. What you do - and what you make possible - matters more than we can say.
The CAPC of Catawba County exists because this community refuses to look away. You report. You support. You give. You show up. And because of that, children and families in Catawba County have a place to turn when they need it most. We are so grateful to do this work alongside you. The month ends. The mission doesn't.

Today is Children's Advocacy Center Day in North Carolina - and it also happens to be National Superhero Day. We don't think that's a coincidence. Governor Stein officially proclaimed April 28 as CAC Day, honoring the forensic interviewers, law enforcement officers, social workers, medical providers, victim advocates, and mental health practitioners who show up every single day for children who have experienced abuse. They don't wear capes. But they absolutely should.
