We’re grateful to the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission for supporting breast cancer awareness and mobile mammography through the Pink Patch Project.
"There is no doubt the mobile mammography program saves lives with early detection. Catawba Medical Foundation is thankful for the officers of the Wildlife Commission who recognize the value of screening and financially support initiatives that raise money for the program," said Tracy Bolick, Catawba Medical Foundation Director.
For the past three years, officers with the agency have participated in this national law enforcement awareness campaign during October by wearing pink badges and patches in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, proceeds from patch sales were donated to Catawba Medical Foundation to benefit our mobile mammography unit and its efforts to bring convenient breast cancer screening to communities throughout our area.
Thank you to Master Officer Matthew W. Lee and the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission for supporting this important initiative and helping expand access to breast cancer screening in our community.
