Today, we celebrate the greatest hope the world has ever known—He is risen! 🙌

Easter reminds us that no matter how dark the night may seem, new life, restoration, and redemption are always possible through Jesus Christ. The empty tomb is a promise that love wins, grace abounds, and hope is alive!

At The Jesus Center, we are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside our community—offering compassion, support, and the life-changing message of Christ’s love. Today, we celebrate not just an event in history, but a living Savior who continues to transform lives every day.

💛 “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” – Matthew 28:6

May your heart be filled with peace, your home with joy, and your life with renewed hope this Easter.

From all of us at The Jesus Center—
Happy Easter! He is risen indeed!

We’re excited to announce that the Jesus Center has been awarded a $6.5M BHCIP grant to build a 16-bed Residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Center for Medi-Cal members in our community.

This project will expand access to life-saving treatment and provide a safe, supportive environment for individuals working toward recovery.

We’re grateful to our local partners that provided letters of support, and to the State of California for investing in behavioral health and helping increase treatment capacity for those who need it most. More updates to come as this project moves forward!

Welcoming 2026 and praying for a blessed year ahead for you all!

Are you interested in joining our organization to support safe, respectful, and welcoming environments for people in shelter working on ending their homelessness?
Shelter Staff monitor daily activities, enforce program guidelines, and respond to situations with professionalism and compassion. This role is ideal for someone with a strong desire to help others and a commitment to serving individuals with histories of addiction, mental health challenges, and housing instability. The Shelter Monitor must be able to remain calm in high-stress situations, communicate clearly, maintain appropriate boundaries, and contribute to a supportive, trauma-informed shelter environment.
Resumes are accepted in-person at our office located at

✨🎄 Merry Christmas! 🎄✨

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we give thanks for the hope, peace, and love He brings into the world. This season reminds us that “For unto us a child is born” (Isaiah 9:6), and with Him comes light for all.

Thank you to our supporters, volunteers, and community who continue to live out Christ’s love through service and compassion. May this Christmas fill your hearts with joy and inspire us all to serve others as He did.

Wishing you and your families a blessed and joyful Christmas.

We are excited to announce a milestone for our Recuperative Care Program, in partnership with Enloe Health. We join as one of 28 nationally certified recuperative care programs in the country by the National Healthcare for the Homeless Council.
Beyond medical care, we support the whole person through additional program partners including Butte County Dept. of Behavioral Health, The Growing Place, Butte County Dept. of Employment & Social Services, and AMPLA Health.

Congrats to Butte Recuperative Care for becoming !

From the organization:

"Butte Recuperative Care, a partnership of the Jesus Center and Enloe Health, provides short-term, 24/7 supportive care for people experiencing homelessness who are too sick or injured to recover on the street but don’t need to stay in the hospital. Together we offer a safe place to heal with coordinated medical follow-up, case management, and connections to benefits and housing so guests can recover fully and transition to stable living."

Achieving certification means the program has completed a rigorous process demonstrating a high degree of fidelity to nationally recognized principles, standards, and expectations in the field of medical respite care.
