I want to thank all the shoppers that shop at BTG Market at our home, Beatniks, and Cal Java. Tomorrow I am sending $8,000 to Uganda for a Borehole that is going in. I am in the process of getting rid of plastic in my kitchen. I am loving using my all wooden Kitchen Utensils. Thanks for making a difference for good.

Volunteers are such a vital part of BridgingtheGap4Water (BTG). It would be impossible to do what we do without them. Recently, I put 12 names in a jar and I am drawing one out each month to share with you. It was too hard to pick who I would want to start with.

I met Debi Wineroth eight years ago at a couples Bible Study and we became close friends and she began volunteering at BTG. Debi even got married in our living room. Debi was with me for the first trip I took to Africa after Grant slipped into Heaven. It was just the two of us and I was so grateful for her. She fell in love with the people and the work we do. She followed up with another trip to Uganda the next year. She services BTG Markets’s venue at Beatniks on a regular basis and you will always see her at the Annual Walk4Water selling merchandise.

In closing, I want to say that Debi is a friend and volunteer and that I would want to hear her thoughts on decisions that need to be made. She is an important part of BTG. Friendships are often formed while we work together for good.

I received this sweet letter today from a teenager that attended the Walk4Water in April. It was especially meaningful because I also just received a potential $8,000 match for TivaWater Filters if we can raise $8,000. I am looking forward to sharing with this young woman that she is now going to be giving two filters.

The 18th Annual Walk4Water on April 18th was a time to slow down and experience, to learn and to grow. Our volunteers made the event what it was, a morning full of kindness, education, and raising awareness of the need for clean water sources and training in sanitation and hygiene in developing countries. The Walk4Water couldn’t have happened without each and every one of you! BTG4WATER thanks you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Grant and I met Daniel Ololia 2014 in Uganda and he introduced us to TivaWater filters, which many of you have purchased over the years. The filters are distributed in remote villages and in the slums of Uganda. Daniel and his family have become forever friends. It has been an honor to partner with them to provide clean water to our thirsty world.
