Healthy Rural California is looking for an Undergraduate Medical Education Coordinator!

This role serves as a central connection point between medical students, faculty, residency leadership, academic institutions, and community clinical partners. From coordinating student rotations and onboarding to supporting branch campus development, physician pipeline initiatives, and educational programming, the Undergraduate Medical Education Coordinator plays a key role in helping future physicians train and thrive in our region.

If you're highly organized, enjoy building relationships, are passionate about healthcare access, and want to help shape the future healthcare workforce, this could be the perfect fit.

HRC’s MedEd Club students from Four Winds Indian Education, Chico State, and Elk Creek had an incredible opportunity to visit Touro University on April 29th for a full day of campus exploration, in person learning and college preparation experiences.

Students toured campus, explored the radiology and pharmacy labs, connected with faculty over lunch, and participated in academic, college prep, and financial aid sessions designed to help them envision their future in healthcare and higher education.

One of the most special parts of the day was arriving to customized Touro ID badges made just for our students!

We are so grateful to Touro University for their generosity, hospitality, and commitment to supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. We had a spectacular time!

We just wrapped up another incredible internship cycle and couldn’t be more proud of this year’s intern team: Valeria, Devan, Taryn, and Bradley. Their dedication, hard work, and passion for supporting rural communities made a meaningful impact across Butte County.

And congratulations to Kadence, our Psychiatry Program Assistant, on graduating as well! We’re so excited to see all of the amazing things ahead for each of them.

As they move into the next chapter of their careers, we want to recognize the time, heart, and energy they poured into building community partnerships, supporting prevention programs, and helping expand HRC’s impact throughout the North State.
