It’s Wishlist Wednesday with Koda! 🤍

This stunning 5-year-old Siberian Husky mix (our best guess!) has a beautiful black sable and white coat that matches his vibrant personality. He’s outgoing, playful, and happiest when he’s part of the action, whether that’s walks, exploring the outdoors, or just hanging out with his people. Koda was transferred to us from another shelter, so we don’t know much about his past, but we do know he’s incredibly loving and ready for his next chapter. He’d thrive in a home that can match his energy with plenty of exercise, play, and mental stimulation.

Ready for a fun, affectionate, spirited companion? Come meet Koda at Butte Humane Society! 💙

Not ready to adopt? You can still help Koda and his friends by checking out our wishlist this week and donating our most needed items:

🥛 KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer)
🐈 Disposable litter boxes
🐟 Friskies wet cat food
🍗 Diamond Naturals dry cat food
🦴 Kirkland dog treats

Drop donations off at the shelter during open hours or shop our wishlist at buttehumane.org/wishlist

Thank you for helping us care for every animal waiting for a home! 🐾

🍻 Wondering how the Howl-o-Ween Pub Crawl works? Check out the video above! 🎃

Here’s the quick breakdown on how you can drink local, have fun, and save lives at our shelter:

1️⃣ Grab Your Tickets: Head to the link in our bio to lock in your spot for $25. Your ticket includes an exclusive event T-shirt (guaranteed size if ordered by 10/9!) and your official crawl passport.

2️⃣ Check In at HQ: On Saturday, October 24th at 12:00 PM, head to Parkside Taphouse in Downtown Chico to pick up your gear.

3️⃣ Crawl & Stamp: Visit our participating downtown spots (like Argus, B-Street, Banshee, Bella’s, Joe’s, and more!), sip on great drinks, and get your passport stamped along the way.

4️⃣ Win Prizes: Head back to HQ when you’re done and trade your stamps for raffle tickets to win awesome prizes!

Best of all? 100% of proceeds go directly to supporting the animals at Butte Humane Society. Since BHS receives zero city, county, or government funding, every single ticket helps provide shelter, food, and medical care to pets in need. 🐾❤️

🚨 GAME ON FOR SHELTER PETS! 🚨

Today marks the official kick-off of the Butte Humane Society Battle of the Businesses! 🏆🐾 From now through Friday, October 9th, three local businesses, Golden Valley Bank Royal Aire 👑 and M&I are going head-to-head in a friendly competition to raise funds and collect critical supplies for our shelter animals.

While the winning business walks away with ultimate bragging rights, at the end of the day, our shelter pets are the real winners! 🐕🐈 Every single item and dollar raised directly provides lifesaving medical care, warm beds, and nutritious food for animals waiting for their forever homes.

Here is how YOU can help your favorite local business win while saving lives:

1️⃣ Donate Physical Supplies: Pick up items from our BHS Wishlist (think dog food, cat litter, toys, and cleaning supplies) and drop them off directly at the participating business of your choice! 📦

2️⃣ Donate Funds: Support your favorite business’s team page online or drop off monetary donations at their location! 💳

Partnerships like this mean the world to our shelter—we truly couldn’t do this work without the incredible businesses and people in our community backing us!

Who are you rooting for? Drop off your donations by Friday, Oct 9th to help push your favorite team to victory! 🏆✨

📲 Link in bio to view our full Wishlist and our shelter dog and cat food, Diamond Naturals, can be found locally too at Northern Star Mills 🐾

Paula has officially been ADOPTED! 🎉

This darling 1-year-old Terrier/Schnauzer mix with the adorable grey, black, and white coat may have been shy at first, but with a little time and patience, her sweet, loving personality shone through. Paula is happiest when she’s close to her people and soaking up affection from someone she trusts, and now she has a family to give her all the love she deserves.

Watching her confidence grow during her time with us was incredibly rewarding. Paula, we’re so proud of you, and we can’t wait to hear about all your adventures! 🥹

Thank you to everyone who shared her, cheered her on, and helped her find her forever home. Congratulations to Paula and her new family! 🏡
