We’re pleased to welcome Janis P. Tupesis MD to our Board of Directors.
Dr. Tupesis currently serves as president-elect of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM) and is a faculty member at University of Wisconsin Department of Emergency Medicine.
“Through my work with the IFEM and the Acute Care Action Network, I have seen the impact that is possible when professional organizations, clinicians, health systems, governments, and global partners work toward a common vision rather than within traditional silos,” says Dr. Tupesis.
“The G4 Alliance provides an important platform to bring these efforts together—connecting policy, advocacy, education, workforce development, data, and health-system implementation. I am particularly excited about building stronger collaboration between the G4 Alliance, IFEM, the Acute Care Action Network, World Health Organization, and other partners to advance integrated systems that care for patients across their lifespan—from children requiring timely emergency or surgical care, through adult illness and injury, to the complex acute-care needs of older adults. Ultimately, this is about ensuring that every patient, regardless of age, geography, or circumstance, has timely access to high-quality emergency, critical, operative, and trauma care when they need it most.”
