“I was nine years old when I attended my first CTU concert,” shared Rohan Krishnamurthy today at the iO Theater.

CTU is honored to welcome back Rohan Krishnamurthy, a longtime CTU participant and performing artist, as part of today’s presentation of The Alaya Project, in collaboration with the iO Theater.

A cross-cultural conversation between musical traditions, the program features Prasant Radhakrishnan on saxophone and Colin Hogan on keys.

The beautifully rendered Hanuman Chalisa at the “Vayuputra in the Windy City” event was presented by the talented children of Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam (CTU). These young participants were trained and guided by Smt. Maragatham Sundaresan, whose dedication and mentorship made this inspiring presentation possible. 🙏

Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam (CTU) is honored to participate in this wonderful event hosted by Chinmaya Mission Chicago, and we’d love to have our CTU families join us!

📅 Saturday, July 11
🕗 Event Begins: 8:00 AM
📍 DuPage County Fairgrounds, Wheaton

Here’s how you can support CTU:

✅ Register for the event (required for entry) and select Chicago Tyagaraja Utsavam as your organization. Our goal is 25 CTU families.

✅ Visit the CTU booth and connect with our community.

✅ Participate in the Havan—families may sponsor together and take turns performing the 21 rounds.

🕤 CTU Hanuman Chalisa Chanting:
