Season 36 is here. It’s time to start seeing things differently.

VLADIMIR
In a world where facts are manipulated and fear is currency, the truth becomes dangerous.

As a new authoritarian government tightens its grip on Russia, Erika Sheffer’s VLADIMIR follows an independent journalist who uncovers a story that could expose the truth behind a nation in transition. But when every headline comes with consequences and every source becomes a target, she must decide how much she’s willing to sacrifice for the story.
VLADIMIR is a gripping political thriller about what happens when silence becomes complicity.

BRACE BRACE

You survive the unimaginable. Now what?

When a shocking event leaves Ray and Sylvia alive but forever altered after their honeymoon, they find themselves trapped in competing memories of the same event. As their relationship begins to unravel, BRACE BRACE explores how trauma reshapes perception, distorts truth, and leaves us questioning not just what happened, but who we’ve become because of it.

Running April 16 through May 29 at Theater Wit
Directed by Elizabeth Margolius

We've got some exciting news just around the corner... but before we see what's next, we wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who made Shattered & Stirred such a successful night of laughter and community.

Evenings like these remind us that the strongest communities are built when we take the time to look a little closer at the people around us. Thank you to everyone who joined us, celebrated with us, and helped support the future of Shattered Globe Theatre.

A big shout out to Koval Distillery and Omarcitos for always being the best at what they do. And a special thank you to Aunt Nance, Chris Farrell, and Ensemble Member Vivian Knouse for sharing their incredible talents and making the evening one to remember.

We can't wait to show you what's next 👀

As we look ahead to our next adventure at Shattered Globe Theatre, and following a national search, we are thrilled to announce the appointment of Ian Frank as our new Producing Artistic Director, as Sandy Shinner steps into a new phase with the ensemble after more than a decade of extraordinary impact on the company.

We are deeply grateful for Sandy’s vision, dedication, and the artistic home she helped build, and we are excited for Ian’s leadership as Shattered Globe continues to grow into its next era. 🧡

A strong Chicago theatre weekend starts with choosing your flavor, and this one offers a full flight. Whether you’re in the mood for something scrappy and strange, bright and nostalgic, or mythic and mischievous, the city’s stages have you covered. Three wildly different productions are running right now, and each one makes a compelling case for your time.

Shattered Globe Theatre Company’s Eelpout at Theater Wit is the pick for anyone who wants a show that feels distinctly Chicago - intimate, odd, and quietly daring. It’s the kind of storefront piece that rewards audiences who like their theatre a little off-center, with sharp writing and performances that dig into the emotional grit beneath the humor. If you’re craving something unexpected and handcrafted, Eelpout is the weekend’s sleeper hit.

If your week has been long and you want pure joy, Metropolis Performing Arts Centre’s The Wedding Singer is the fizzy, feel-good option. It’s big-hearted, neon-soaked, and built for audiences who want to laugh, tap their feet, and leave humming. Metropolis knows how to deliver a crowd-pleasing musical, and this one leans all the way into its ‘80s nostalgia and goofy charm.

And for something bold, clever, and completely its own, Lifeline Theatre’s Loki - The End of the World Tour offers a mythological comedy with cosmic stakes and storefront ingenuity. It’s fast, funny, and packed with the ensemble-driven inventiveness Lifeline is known for. If you want a show that feels like nothing else onstage right now, Loki’s your ticket.

Three shows, three distinct worlds - quirky storefront storytelling, musical escapism, and mythic mayhem. Whichever direction you choose, you’re in for a memorable night out.
