When we root, we root for Art Teachers!!!
⚽️💚💛 🖼️ We’re excited to announce a new partnership between OAEA, the Portland Timbers, and Pacific Northwest College of Art to support the return of OAEA High School Scholarships for students pursuing creative arts careers.

Join us on Saturday, August 29 for a fun evening of soccer, community, and arts advocacy. A portion of every ticket purchased through our fundraiser link will support the OAEA High School Scholarship Fund.

OAEA Arts Education VIP Experience
We are also creating a special VIP section for art educators, arts advocates, community partners, and supporters. The VIP experience includes premium field-level seating, access to exclusive vendor areas with shorter lines, and an opportunity to connect with others who care about arts education in Oregon.

Because VIP tickets will be purchased through OAEA, we are currently collecting commitments through a short interest form. OAEA will follow up in the coming weeks with payment information and additional details.

Even if you are unable to attend, please consider sharing the ticket link with friends, colleagues, students, families, alumni, and anyone who supports arts education. Every ticket sold helps us build scholarship opportunities for Oregon high school students pursuing creative arts careers.

Thank you for helping us support the next generation of Oregon creatives. Portland Timbers Timbers Army Portland Thorns FC

Ceramics- Throwing on the Wheel- June 15th - July 10th - Mondays 9-am to 5 pm.

This introductory course invites students to master the foundational “dance” between hands and clay at the potter’s wheel. The curriculum is centered on the core mechanics of wheel-throwing: centering the mass, opening the floor, and pulling the walls to create functional forms like cylinders, bowls, and mugs. Beyond the physical technique, students will explore the transformative chemistry of the ceramic process—from the “greenware” stage to the final glaze firing. By the end of the term, you will have developed the muscle memory and patience required to turn a raw lump of earth into a finished, intentional piece of art.
