Happy Halloween to all our students and teachers!!

What makes our program different than others?? We create connections. We connect our Fellows with leaders in the teaching industry, host professional events, and foster a social environment where our Fellows can share their wins and challenges throughout the year.

The absence of a diverse workforce leaves many K-12 students feeling disconnected from school, and the disparity creates misperceptions and stereotypes that disadvantage all students, regardless of race.

Last call, Charlottesville! 🍽️

All October long, Maya Restaurant has been hosting African American Teaching Fellows as their Charity of the Month, with every Thursday dinner supporting our work. This Thursday, Oct. 29, is the final one.

If you've been meaning to make it out, this is the week. Bring a friend, grab a table, and help us keep investing in the educators shaping classrooms across Charlottesville and Albemarle County. 🤎

A big thank you to Maya for standing with AATF all month.

Make your reservation at www.maya-restaurant.com or call (434) 979-6292.

Every year, a group of African American Teaching Fellows earns teaching licenses and joins the community-wide effort to create schools that model excellence, diversity, and student achievement. This growing group of educators works to eliminate racial disparity in our schools and prepare all students for a brighter, more collaborative future.
