We’re fortunate to work with remarkable student-athletes at UVA every day. Recently, we had the opportunity to step off Grounds and spend the morning with equally remarkable athletes in our community through a partnership with Albemarle County Schools and Special Olympics Virginia.

Spending time with these K–5 athletes at the annual Little Feet Meet at Monticello High School was a powerful reminder of what sport can be at its best. Athletics creates connection, builds confidence, and offers a shared experience where effort, joy, and teamwork matter more than outcomes.
