A big shoutout to the FountainFund team member, Sankofa O. Alkebu-Lan.

It's been an honor watching your growth and working alongside you over the last few years. What this article captures is what many of us have had the privilege of witnessing every day—your spirit, your passion, and your commitment to helping others see a future beyond their current circumstances.

The greatest leaders don't just change programs; they change people. Sankofa has a unique way of turning lived experience into hope, and hope into action. Today he's teaching financial literacy, but what he's really teaching is possibility.

When the light inside you is genuine, it doesn't need a spotlight—it shines on its own and helps others find their way.

Keep leading. Keep serving. Keep showing people what's possible.

This is just the beginning.

The article highlights Sankofa's journey from participant to instructor, helping community members learn budgeting, saving, credit, and long-term financial decision-making through the Pathways to Prosperity program.

The series focuses on practical financial skills, including budgeting, saving, understanding credit, and preparing for major financial decisions.

🚗💰 Get Paid to Train… and drive your way to a solid career.

UVA’s HOOS Driving FlexRide & Ride program is hiring—and yes, they’ll actually pay you to learn (we love to see it).

If you’ve got a license, a good driving record, and you’re ready for a full-time opportunity with benefits, this might be your lane.

Pull up to the first hiring event Thursday, May 14th, meet the team, and even interview on the spot. No long wait—just real opportunities.
