Behind every road, school, hospital, office building, manufacturing facility and piece of critical infrastructure are skilled professionals who helped make it possible.

During Careers in Construction Month, WVBCT is proud to recognize the people who build and maintain the places and infrastructure West Virginians depend on every day.

These aren't just jobs. They're careers that build communities, support families and help move West Virginia forward.

Today is Fire Prevention Day, a reminder that safety is everyone's responsibility.

On construction sites, safety isn't an afterthought. It's part of the job from the moment work begins until the job is complete.

Training, preparation, communication and respect for established safety procedures help protect workers, their coworkers and the communities where they work.

Today, we recognize the professionals who make safety a priority every day and the firefighters and first responders who stand ready to protect our communities.

As National Preparedness Month comes to a close, West Virginia’s Building & Construction Trades recognize that preparedness doesn’t begin when an emergency happens, it begins long before.

Every day, skilled tradespeople work in environments where training, planning, communication and safety are essential. From jobsite safety and emergency procedures to building and maintaining the infrastructure our communities depend on, preparation is part of the job.

This National Preparedness Month, we recognize the men and women who train, plan and work safely every day to help keep our workplaces and communities strong.
