This past weekend was a powerful reminder of just how far-reaching the impact of our students truly is.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Ellie Hoblitzell, who performed as a violinist in the orchestra for the Charleston Light Opera Guild Inc production of Come From Away, and Finn and Cannon Smith, who took on the leading roles of Orpheus and Hades in the Bluefield Youth and Community Theatre production of Hadestown. We also recognize Deacon and Bethany Goins, who contributed their talents in the orchestra for Hadestown.

These accomplishments speak volumes about the level of artistry, versatility, and commitment our students bring to everything they do. Whether performing on stage or in the pit, with the West Virginia Youth Symphony or within their local communities, they are actively shaping and enriching the cultural landscape of our state.

This is exactly what we strive for…young musicians growing in their craft and sharing their gifts in meaningful, visible ways.

Bravi tutti! We couldn’t be prouder. 👏🎶

We enjoyed our day at the WV Homeschool Convention yesterday! Attendees were wowed by WVYS students, the Biehles, who played a variety of entertaining music. WVYS students Liam and Donovan also volunteered to introduce curious visitors to their instruments, violin and viola. 👏🤩
